Beauty show

On Sunday I woke up early and set off to London with fellow beautician Sarah Louise to enjoy the beauty show arranged by Professional beauty at the Excel building. We had a fab time spending around 6 hours looking at new and exciting products on offer. I purchased some hot mittens and 16 new OPI shades. I was very tempted to buy the massage table from dream lounge but resisted 😉

I fell in love with airbrush make-up and plan to start training in make-up next year. It gives a  stunning HD finish perfect for brides and TV.

We were both shocked by how many companies now specialise in defined eyebrows. To name just a few we saw: HD brows, wow brows and hi brows! HD brows started off back in 2010 and it’s been going strong ever since.

Lots of stunning fake tans going on from crazy angel, sienna x and fake bake.

A huge amount of gel polish systems on sale. To name just a few brands I saw Gelish, OPI, shellac, and bio sculpture. Gel polishes are one of the most popular treatments I do at my salon in Norwich and I get amazing results. Some ladies when being careful and following aftercare can keep them on for one month! On average they last 15 days without chipping or peeling. They’re set under UV light, so no hassle of waiting for them to dry.

We spent quite some time watching the ladies who entered the nail competition. Lots of stressed ladies doing amazing nail art under the pressure of being surrounded by cameras.

Looking forward to what next years show brings already!
