Earlier this month I had a lovely long weekend with my baby girl Jessica and partner Andy.

We stayed in a village called Kranjska Gora, which was absolutely lovely. It’s primarily a ski resort, but perfect for us with a small child to have stunning walks around. We hired a car and had day trips out to Bled and Triglav national park.

It was only a long weekend, but was definitely needed to recharge the batteries. Jessica was an angel the whole holiday. I was slightly concerned about traveling with a 20 month old, but as always she proved to me that nothing is ever as bad as you expect with babies. The only time she cried was when she had to sit on our laps on the flight. I highly recommend taking an iPad on every holiday! It kept her entertained for most of the flight. I got a lay in every day and breakfast brought to me in bed while Andy got Jessica up, fed and on the potty 🙂

We have now booked a longer holiday for later in the year to New Zealand. I feel the flight may not be quite so easy this time, but really wanted a long trip before she turned two and I would have to start paying more for her. We are planning on hiring a campervan and touring the North Island. Any tips or recommendations would be much appreciated.
