Last night me and my good friend Emma attended the launch party of Bourgee in Norwich. Their great PR company Edencancan had a great evening laid out for us of Champagne and canapes. No expensive spared we had our glasses top upped throughout the night with Taittinger. The atmosphere there is great. It’s a real gem in the centre of the shopping area in Norwich. Upstairs is an exquisite bar with terrace overlooking Timber hill. The upstairs bar has a great ‘clubbing’ feel to it with a lively vibe of great music and cocktails. This restaurant most definitely shouldn’t be overlooked as just a restaurant. The bar upstairs is something this part of Norwich is missing. I would meet friends here for evening drinks, gossip and dancing!
Both the owners Mark Baumann and James Welling were social butterflies and made sure they introduced themselves to everyone. They are an Essex based family-run company branching out into our lovely Norwich. They are extremely passionate about delivering great food. They even had their families with them last night. It’s great to see the whole family including their kids supporting them.
They cater for everyone. From romantic evening meal, afternoon tea, and even a Sunday roast with your family!
I particularly liked the look of their bar snacks. Great Asian twist of sticky beef, gyoza (dumplings), lobster and steamed bun with kimchi and fries.
I can definitely see myself enjoying many good times here!
The castle mall is forever changing and keeping up to date with what their customers want. This is a great area of Norwich now, which previously would have been overlooked. There is a great selection of places including The Murderers and Cocina which are attracting more people here.
